About Us
Hi! Welcome to Jeff Becker Glass from colorful Colorado. We're Jeff and Jessica, a husband and wife team specializing in quality handmade flameworked glass. We showcase and sale our handmade quality glass creations on Etsy. We offer a variety of glass icicle ornaments, pendants and unique glass pieces that we make from our home studio using the best tools, equipment, and glass in the industry.
When we're not busy creating at the torch we love to spend time with our daughter and son exploring and enjoying the beautiful state of Colorado. We love playing with our cats and dogs on the family farm.
My passion for working with glass began in 2001 when I met a flameworker who took me on as a paid apprentice. I immediately started purchasing the necessary tools and my first Carlisle CC torch. Around the same time, I also opened my own retail store called Wonderland. For 13 years, I sold my glass pipes and beads, as well as the work of other local flameworkers, and experienced both successes and challenges along the way.
One significant obstacle I faced was during "Operation Pipe Dreams," which almost ended my business before it even began. However, I managed to survive and grow my knowledge of glass by attending classes at Glass Craft in Golden, Colorado. I had the privilege of learning from talented artists such as Milon Townsend, Roger Paramore, Brian King, Robert Mickelsen, and Suellen Fowler, who is renowned for her expertise in color.
Unfortunately, I became addicted to painkillers that were legally prescribed to me for an old wrestling injury. This addiction led to the loss of my store, relationships, success, and even my sense of self. However, I am grateful for the events that led me to jail multiple times and the darkest moments of my life. It was during this challenging period that I found my best friend and the love of my life, who eventually became my wife and partner in both glass and life.
With her support and my determination, I began to rebuild myself and my studio. It hasn't been easy, and some days were incredibly difficult to get through. However, I persevered and started to regain my sense of purpose and passion for glass art.
Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to continue pursuing my passion as a flameworker and running our small glass retail business with my wife and children by my side. I have learned valuable lessons from my past experiences and am committed to staying on a positive path. My family's love and support have been instrumental in my journey, and I cherish them deeply
